About Special Service Established in 1987, Special Service
offer 'Full Service' local pick up and
delivery from sixteen Terminals servicing
22 cities throughout the Carolinas, and in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee.
Most of the major locations are serviced by line haul out of the Atlanta hub and
then between cities with our own in-house line haul network. Special Service owns and operates
over 400 power units including Tractors with 48'/53' Box Trailers and Flatbeds, 20' through 24'
Straight
Trucks (box & flatbed), as well as Cube Trucks, Sprinter and Cargo
Vans. Our network is not only linked in a physical way, but is all on a common EDI capable Communication and Freight Tracking system, so customers can receive instant status updates or, through a secure web portal, view freight location, charges and documentation anywhere in the Southeast at a single glance. We operate Customs Bonded Container Freight Stations in ATL, BNA, CHS, CLT, GSO, MCO, MIA, MOB, MIA, RDU, TPA & TYS, and the entire network fleet is a bonded 'common carrier' for movement throughout the 48 states. We handle all your time-critical freight from small packages to full loads, 'hotshots' and special pick ups and deliveries. We also service air-charter freight.
